The
hall was really big and there where so many people!
I
didn’t buy a seating ticket, because it was so expensive. As it turned out,
standing was much better, because I got to stand in the front row! So I had a
great view PLUS I had the honor to stand very close to Boy George’s mum!!!
Here's
my review:
(Sorry
that there aren’t many pictures but I was busy watching/enjoying the show!) The Boy George pictures I have taken during the show, the ones of
the other artists I googled so you can see what they looked like.
I'm
now talking about all the artists:
I
start with the orchestra... because they were kind of the main musicians here, they
were fantastic! They really did a damn good job!
That electric band was great too :)
Cliff
Richards:
He
was fantastic. He did a great performance and had a nice voice.
Kid
Creole and the Coconuts:
Oh
well, Kid Creole mad awesome music! I didn’t like the coconuts voices (but that’s
maybe because they were women – and I don’t like woman’s voices that much). I
kind of liked Kid Creole’s outfit!
Lichtmond:
Well
that’s a band which I didn’t like. The girl had a nice voice, but she sang too
often with a very high voice. This was really annoying!! Also, I thought that
the lyrics and the music didn’t really fit together. This guy’s voice I didn’t like
either. All in all I’d say that this band isn’t quite my cup of tea!
John Miles:
He did a
great job! I really enjoyed his show!
Charlie Siem:
This
guy is from England, I think that he and Boy George might be friends. I saw him
talking with Boy’s mother – which was in front of me. I’m pretty sure that he
also wore clothes from Boy’s collection (B-Rude)!
Anyway,
he was fantastic! He didn’t sing, he just played his violin. Siem was really
good playing his violin, I absolutely enjoyed listening to it!
Boy George:
Last
but not least, the reason why I went to Nokia Night of the Proms: Boy George!
Considering
that he isn’t the youngest anymore, I had to see him perform! Also Boy doesn’t
tour too often outside England anymore. – I wish I could’ve seen Culture
Club back in the days live, but I’m too young. So this was my only chance (other than flying to
England) to get to see Boy George’s live performance.
He
still looks stunning, after all he went through! I liked his glittery make-up and
the clothes he was wearing (From his own collection – B-Rude)! His performance
was great! His voice still is really good and I absolutely enjoyed his
performance. He sang “victims” (such a beautiful song!); “do you really want tohurt me” (a very famous Culture Club song); “you’re always on my mind”, "KarmaChameleon" (also very famous song by Culture Club), and many more…
